DRUG TRAFFICKING/ POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED DRUGS
At about 11:20pm on 2nd September 2014, police on patrol at the corner of San Antonio Road and Staines Alley conducted a search at the residence of 18-year-old Alex TOBAR. In the backyard of TOBAR’s residence, police found a black plastic bag which contained 246.9grams of suspected cannabis and a black bag which contained 485.5grams of suspected cannabis. Police have since arrested and charged Alex TOBAR, Belizean Construction Worker of Orange Walk District, with Drug Trafficking and Possession of Controlled Drugs.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED DRUGS
On 4th September 2014 at about 2:30am, police visited a hotel on the Phillip Goldson Highway where they detained a male person from San Ignacio Town. Inside his room was a small amount of weed and green leafy substance suspected to be cannabis, which amounted to 5.03 grams; and two small pieces of suspected crack cocaine which amounted to 0.11grams. He was detained pending charge of Possession of Controlled Drugs.
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 3rd September 2014 at about 8:30pm, police searched a male person on St Thomas Street and found a black plastic bag containing green leafy substances, suspected to be cannabis, on him. The drugs amounted to 88.2 grams. Police have since arrested and charged Sherloca HERRERA, 28 year old of Belize City, for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
CAYO DISTRICT
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 2nd September 2014 at 11:50pm, Information was received of a male person who entered a premise without the consent of the owner at Saturn Street, Hill View Area, Santa Elena Town, Cayo District. The male person was detained by the owner. Police went to the location where they met the owner of the place, who had detained the male person. A search was conducted on the detainee where police found several small parcels of green leafy substance, totaling 81.8 grams of suspected cannabis, in his bag. The detainee was later identified as Jose AUGUST, 22 year old Belizean of Santa Elena Town. He has since been arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking.

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION
Reference the Drowning in the Malacate Area, Independence Village, which occurred on 29th August 2014; on 3rd September 2014 at 1:30pm, Dr. Mario Estradabran conducted a postmortem examination on the body of Michael REYES, 22 year old Belizean of Hopkins Village. At the conclusion, Dr. Estradabran certified the cause of death as a result of Asphyxiation by Drowning.
