COROZAL DISTRICT

A 13-year-old female, Belizean Student of San Roman Village, accompanied by her mother, reported to police that between the months of March and April of 2014, she engaged in sexual intercourse with her 22 year old boyfriend. A medical examination conducted on the female minor certified that she is carnally known. Police are looking for the boyfriend of San Roman Village, Corozal District, for the crime of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse.

LADYVILLE VILLAGE

 At 7:10pm on 28th August 2014, police visited the scene of a traffic accident between miles 33 and 34 on the Phillip Goldson Highway, Ladyville village. There they saw a Red M.F 180 Tractor with a 12-feet trailer which was carrying pine logs (measuring 12 to 20 feet in length). The logs were observed to be scattered on the road. Also, police observed a silver Audi, off the road, with extensive damage to its front portion. Initial Investigation revealed that the tractor was travelling from the direction of Orange Walk Town with 5 occupants on board the tractor. At the time of the accident, the tractor was travelling without head lights and tail lights when Senbu WU, 25 year old Businessman of Corozal Town, who was driving in the same direction, collided to the rear portion of the trailer. The passengers on the tractor received varying degrees of injuries and were escorted to the hospital via ambulance. WU received minor injuries to the knee and elbow. Police investigations continue.

On 28th August 2014, Donalee RAMCLAM visited the Mahogany Street Sub-Station and reported that, at 5:45am while inside her parked vehicle, she was approached by a tall male person of dark complexion who pushed his hands through the window of her vehicle, grabbed her blouse from the front, placed a knife to her neck and pulled off her Gold chain. He then made good his escape.
                                                                                                                
FOUND PROPERTY

On 28th August 2014 at 3:30pm, while on operations along with BDF and K-9 Unit personnel, police searched an abandoned lot at the corner of Antelope and Elston Kerr Streets where the K-9 Dog "MJ" sniffed out a plastic bag inside a pants pocket. The plastic bag was found to contain a green leafy substance, suspected to be cannabis. No one was in the immediate area at the time of the discovery. The suspected cannabis was weighed and amounted to 128 grams. It was then sealed in a manila envelope and labeled as found property
 
On 28th August 2014 at 2:30pm., Belize City Police conducted a search in an empty lot on Jane Usher Extension which led to the discovery of a black garbage bag containing five parcels of green leafy vegetable substance, suspected to be cannabis. The suspected cannabis amounted to 602 grams. The drug was then sealed and labeled as found property.

On 28th August 2014 at 3:15pm, police conducted a search in an abandoned lot located on Elston Kerr Street, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a plastic bag that had in a .380 pistol with two empty magazines and a plastic bag which contained three live (.380) ammunition. No one was found in the immediate area. The gun and ammunition were listed as Found Property.
 
DRUG TRAFFICKING

On 28th August 2014 at 8:55am, while on mobile patrol on Louise Bevans Street, police conducted a search on three male persons which led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing 92.6 grams of suspected cannabis. Police have since detained Ian ADOLPHUS, 20 year old of Belize City; Dennis GONGUEZ, 26 year old of Belize City; and Nelson VANEGAS, 20 year old of 20 Belize City, for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
 
                                                                                                      
HATTIEVILLE VILLAGE

Whilst conducting mobile patrol on Sylvestre Boulevard, Hattieville Village, police conducted a search on a male minor, Belizean Student. The search led to the discovery of (4) .22 ammunition and a plastic bag containing 1 gram of suspected cannabis in his back pants pocket. Police have arrested and charged the 16-year-old for the offence of Possession of controlled drugs and Kept Unlicensed Ammunition.   

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On 28th August 2014 at 2:40pm, Hattieville Police searched a house on Myvette Street, belonging to 52 year old Dorothy LEWIS. Present at the time of the search were two minors and two other adults. The search led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing 166 grams of suspected cannabis. All persons were escorted to the Hattieville Police Station, pending charges of Drug Trafficking.
 
STANN CREEK DISTRICT

At about 6:30am on 29th August 2014, Javier LINAREZ, 33 year old of Independence Village, was travelling from Bella Vista en route to Punta Gorda Town when upon reaching San Isidro, he accidentally knocked down 7-year-old Cesar Martin POM, who was crossing the Highway. POM reportedly died on the spot. His body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where it awaits a postmortem examination. LINAREZ has been detained pending charges.
 
PUNTA GORDA TOWN

Sonia BARRIENTOS, 44 year old Guatemala Domestic of Indian Ville Extension, visited the station and reported that on 26th August 2014 at 6:00am, she woke up and noticed that her daughter, Morelia DUENIAS, 14 year old Belizean Student, was not at home. She still has not returned home since. Morelia is of Hispanic descent, slim built, and has a fair complexion. She stands about 4 feet 10 inches in height, and weighs about 90-100lbs. Police are investigating.
