ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

At 9:00am on 25th August 2014, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Efijenio Ayala DUJON, where at the conclusion the doctor certified the cause of death to be Asphyxia inhalation of fluid consistent with drowning.

BELIZE DISTRICT

SHOOTING INCIDENT

At 9:35pm on 25th August 2014, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Rodrick WILLIAMS, 18 year old of Belize City, with apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen, hand and back; and Aleem RICHARDSON, 19 year old of Belize City, with an apparent gunshot wound to the right small finger. Initial investigations revealed that at 9:20pm on 25th August 2014, both WILLIAMS and RICHARDSON were standing at the corner of Iguana Street Extension and Elston Kerr Street when they were approached by male person who pulled out a handgun and fired several shots in their direction, causing their injuries. Both men were transported to the K.H.M.H. where they were admitted in a stable condition. Police investigations continue.
 
ARREST

Reference the Attempt Murder report made on 16th January 2014; on 25th August 2014, police arrested and charged Joseph Gabourel VACCARO, 19 year old of Unitedville Village, Cayo District, with Attempt Murder and Dangerous Harm.
 
BELMOPAN CITY

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

The Regional Health Manager for the Western Regional Hospital reported that at 8:00am on 25th August 2014, upon arriving at the Western Regional Hospital, she was informed that a silver colored 2014 Toyota Hilux pickup, license plates -BZ-B-2133, VIN- MROFR22G5E0718181, which was assigned to the Vector Control Unit was stolen from the hospital compound between 4:00pm and 7:00pm on 22nd August 2014. The vehicle was last used by the assigned driver and was parked at 3:30pm on 22nd August 2014. Police investigations continue.
