SHOOTING INCIDENT

On 6th August 2014 at 1:50pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Brian CLARE, 57 year old Belizean Fisherman of Belize City, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right arm. Initial investigation revealed that at 1:45pm, CLARE was driving his green Mazda pickup truck on Partridge Street Extension when two male persons who rode past on separate bicycles fired several shot in his direction, causing the injury. As a result, Brian CLARE took out his license handgun and fired two shots in their direction. One of the culprits then rode his bicycle up Partridge Street Extension while the other ran through a yard on Partridge Street Extension; both making good their escape. Brian CLARE was admitted at the K.H.M.H. where he is in a stable condition. Police investigations continue.
 
SAN PEDRO TOWN

THEFT

On 6th August 2014 at about 6:30pm, Earl SUTHERLAND, 26 year old Belizean Accountant of Laguna Drive, visited the station and reported that earlier at around 4:30pm, he went to inspect a white Fiber glass Skiff Boat named “MR. ROY” which had a black Yamaha 115 horse power outboard engine that he had left at Boca Del Rio Lagoon and noticed that the outboard engine was missing. The covering for the engine was intact; only the engine block and working mechanisms from inside were. Police investigations continue.
