BELIZE DISTRICT

THEFT

On 4th August 2014 at about 11:00am, Gabriel VILLAFRANCO, Belizean Fisherman of San Juan Area, San Pedro Town, visited the Police Station and reported that on 3rd August 2014 at about 10:00pm, he docked his 20ft Argos Mexican Fiberglass Skiff “Iliani” behind Moses Campos Yard on the lagoon in the San Juan Area of San Pedro Town. On 4th August 2014 at about 10:00am, he went to check on the boat and realized that it was missing. The boat has a white exterior and blue interior and a 60 Horse Power 2 stroke Yamaha Outboard Engine with serial number 6K5L-1028636. Police are investigating.
 
THEFT FROM THE PERSON   

On 5th August 2014, a 17-year-old female student of Ladyville Village visited the Belama Police station and reported that on 4th August 2014 at about 10:00am, she was walking on Princess Margaret Drive when she saw a male person who was walking towards her. Upon reaching directly in front of her, the male person grabbed her purse that was slung around her neck which caused the strap to break. She stated that she ran across the street towards the Edward P. Yorke High School, but the male person ran behind her and grabbed her from behind. He took away her purse containing her UB and Social Security identification cards and $50.00. However, as the thief was making his escape, he was apprehended by a Good Samaritan who was standing by and noticed what had happen. The thief was later identified as 18-year-old Withfield RENE, of Zericote St., Belize City. Police recovered the purse containing documents and $50.00. Police also arrested and charged RENE for Theft.
 
ARREST

Reference the Murder of Chryslin GLADDEN, on 5th August 2014 police jointly arrested and charged a 17-year-old female of Belize City and 23-year-old Clement BOL, Construction Worker of Belize City, for the crime of Murder.
 
ESCAPING FROM LAWFUL CUSTODY

Reference the Drug Trafficking report sent in Police Press Release on 5th August 2014, on 4th August 2014 at about 9:30pm, Sandra THOMPSON was detained at Racoon Street Police Station pending charges for drug Trafficking. While at the station she complained of pain due to her pregnancy. While talking with her mother in the station, she threw herself on the floor and continued to complain of pain. Police quickly escorted her to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where she was taken in the observation room by a nurse. At the hospital, police was told by the security guard that someone matching the description of Sandra THOMPSON was seen walking outside. When the police made checks in the area she was nowhere to be found. Police have since located, arrested and charged 30-year-old Sandra THOMPSON, of a Belize City.
 
INTERMEDIATE SOUTHERN FORMATION

HUMAN SKULL FOUND

On 5th August 2014 at about 3:40pm, Independence Village Police visited an area on Daffodil Street in the New Site Area of Independence Village, Stann Creek District, where at about 30 feet into a lot and about 12 feet beside a white abandoned cement building, police observed a human skull. Investigation revealed that sometime around 3:30pm, a 13 year old student of New Site Area Independence Village was chopping grass in the yard when he made the discovery. Police are investigating.
