POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION
On 4th August 2014, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of 16-year-old Chryslin Sharmain GLADDEN, Belizean Student of Belize City, which certified the cause of death to be Bronchial Aspiration due to multiple stab wounds to neck.
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 4th August 2014, police were on mobile patrol on Hibiscus Street, Saint Martin’s Deporres area, when their attention was drawn to two persons on a motor cycle. Upon seeing the mobile patrol, police observed a female passenger, of the motorcycle; throw a black plastic bag into a drain. The motor cycle was then stopped about 50ft from where the bag was thrown. Police escorted the two persons to the area where the bag was thrown; there they retrieved a black plastic bag containing 203.8 grams of suspected cannabis. The persons were identified as Sandra THOMPSON, 30 year old Belizean Domestic of Belize City, and Richard SMITH, 34 year old Belizean Laborer of Belize City. Both persons were detained pending charges of Drug Trafficking.
ARREST
Reference the Murder report sent on 4th August 2014, regarding 16-year-old Chryslin Sharmain GLADDEN, on 5th August 2014, a 17 year old female, Belizean Student of Belize City, was arrested and charged with Murder. Police are seeking a man whom they believe can further assist in their investigations.
HATTIEVILLE VILLAGE
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY
On 4th August 2014 at 4:00pm, Simeon BOWEN, 50 year old Belizean Contractor of Western Pines Village, visited the 8 miles Police Station where he reported that on 4st August 2014 while working on a home in the Sunset Park area, he opened the door to see what was happening when he heard dogs barking outside, only to find two male persons standing there. One of the men, armed with a hand-gun, demanded money from him. BOWEN reportedly then told them that he was only working on the house. The men then ordered him on the floor, to which he complied by getting face down on the floor. As the culprits left the house they instructed him to keep down. The men then locked the door and left. Police are investigating.
DANGRIGA TOWN
ROBBERY
On 4th August 2014 at 4:53pm, acting on information of a robbery, Dangriga Police visited Chaleanor Hotel- situated on Magoon Street in Dangriga Town - where 29-year-old Lynn VALENTINE, Belizean Driver for Madisco Company, reported that he left Belmopan City at about 1:30pm on 4th August 2014 along with 33-year-old Tito BARRIENTOS, Belizean Sales Representative. He continued by stating that at about 4:45pm, they were parked in the yard of the hotel while inside the white Madisco truck when (2) male persons arrived on bicycles. One of the robbers pointed a .38 revolver at the driver as he demanded money and took the keys for the truck. The other male person approached BARRIENTOS and demanded the bag with money which contained $30,000.00, his gold ring, (1) black Samsung laptop and a modem. Police are investigating.
