ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

CARNAL KNOWLEDGE

On 29th May 2014, a female minor, Guatemalan Student of Guinea Grass Village, Orange Walk District, in the presence of her mother reported that on the 16th May 2014, at about 8:00pm, she was in the company of a 23 year old Cane Cutter of Guinea Grass Village, Orange Walk District when they went to the river side in Guinea grass Village where they had sexual intercourse. A medical examination conducted by the Doctor certified that the minor was carnally known. Police are looking for this man for the crime of Carnal Knowledge.

LADYVILLE VILLAGE

CULTIVATION/ DRUG TRAFFICKING

On 29th May 2014 at about 2:30pm, Police and a Composite Patrol from the Belize Defense Force conducted an Anti-Drug Operation between miles 29 and 30 on the Phillip Goldson Highway, Biscayne Village. At about 1½ miles North-East of Biscayne Village, they discovered a small marijuana plantation measuring about 40 by 50 feet in size with 57 mature marijuana plants ranging from 2 feet to 7 feet 11 inches in height. A further search, about 25 meters, lead to the discovery of an open patch measuring 20 by 30 feet in size with (11) mature marijuana plants ranging from 4 to 5 feet in height. Under a shed, was a green tent with a male person sleeping inside. Also, several mature marijuana trees were hanging from a line. The male person was identified as Dwayne BRADLEY, 24 year old Belizean Farmer of Gardenia Village. A further search underneath the shed led to the discovery of a box containing a black plastic bag weighing 73.6grams of green leafy substance suspected to be cannabis. Also found was a jacket which had in its pocket 6 X $100bcy, 8 X $50bcy. Police arrested and charged Dwayne BRADLEY for the offence of Drug Trafficking and the offence of Cultivation of Controlled Drugs.

BELIZE CITY

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On 29th May 2014 between the hours of 1:30pm to 4:00pm, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Norman Stanley THOMPSON, 56 year old Belizean Taxi Driver of Belize City. At the conclusion, the cause of death was certified as Exsanguination due to internal bleeding due to Lungs and Aorta injuries from gunshot wound to the body.
 
ATTEMPT MURDER

Egbert BAILEY, 22 year old Belizean Tour Guide of Belize City, reported that, on 23rd May 2014 at about 8:15pm, he was at his cousin's house on Antelope Street Extension, Belize City, along with three friends watching television when he heard a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot. He then realized that he was bleeding from his right side of his head. He reportedly looked outside and saw two men standing in front of the house, about 12 feet away. He further stated that four other loud bangs were heard from the direction where the men were standing, but all four of them managed to get on the ground and took cover. Police are looking for these two men pending investigation.
 
FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

On 29th May 2014 at about 3:25pm, based on information received of a traffic accident on the George Price Highway between miles 2 and 3, police visited the scene where they saw a grey Isuzu pick-up truck on the side of the highway and a green Hendrickson 10-wheeler dump truck approximately 112 feet away from the Grey Isuzu Pick-up. In the Isuzu pick-up were 24 year old Camira BROWN, who was seated in the front passenger seat, bleeding from abrasions and complaining of pain in the right knee; and the driver, Frank ROBINSON, 51 year old Customs officer of Belize City, who was trapped in the vehicle and apparently unconscious. With the assistance of the Fire Department Personnel and the BERT Ambulance, ROBINSON was extracted and taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 3:50 pm. The driver of the green Hendrickson 10-wheeler dump truck, Martin BURKE, 48 year old of Orange Walk District, was served with a Notice of Intended Prosecution as investigation continues.

BELMOPAN CITY

ROBBERY

Two young women, 18 and 19 years old, reported that around 8:30pm on 29th May 2014, they were walking on the Central walkway in Belmopan heading home when they were robbed at gunpoint by two male persons. They were both ordered to the ground; where the culprits stole an assortment of items from both of them. Police are investigating.
 
SAN IGNACIO TOWN

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On 29th May 2014 between the hours of 3:30pm and 5:30pm, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of 27 year old Oscar Armando GOMEZ ALVAREZ, Honduran National of Los Tambos Village, Cayo District. The conclusion of the postmortem certified the cause of death as Acute Lungs Failure due to Acute Pulmonary Edema due to Massive Brain Thrombosis as a consequence of chop wound.

PUNTA GORDA TOWN

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On 27th May 2014 between the hours of 4:00pm to 5:00pm, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Francisco REYES, 65 year old of Punta Gorda Town, which certified his death to be undetermined due to the advance state of decomposition as a result of sudden death.
