ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE

On 29th July 2014 at 11:30am, a female minor from the Orange Walk District visited the station along with her mother and reported that in the month of February 2013, a day while her mother left home, her step father reportedly went inside her bedroom and blindfolded her with a piece of cloth. She continued by stating that her step-father then covered her mouth with his hand and had sexual intercourse with her. He then threatened her. He reportedly continued to have sexual intercourse with her every month leading up to May, 2014. A medical examination was conducted on the minor where it was certified that she was carnally known.

FOUND PROPERTY

On 28thJuly  2014 at about 6:40pm, police conducted a search in an empty lot in the Faber’s Road area which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing green leafy vegetable substance, suspected to be cannabis. As a result, the suspected cannabis was retrieved and taken to Precinct-two Station where it was weighed. The drug amounted to 183grams. No one was in the area. The drug was labeled and deposited as Found Property.
 
MURDER

On 28th July 2014 at 11:28pm, acting on information received of someone been shot in front of Fabro’s glass shop on Victoria Street, Belize City, police responded where they saw a male person of Creole descent, slim built, dressed in a long sleeved red stripped shirt and a long blue jeans pants lying face up on his bicycle. He appeared to have received a single apparent gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. The male person was later identified as Winston WHYLIE. Initial investigation reveals that WHYLIE was riding his bicycle towards New Road when suddenly he was approached by a male person, on a bicycle, who fired a single shot at him causing his injury. WHYLIE was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was listed in a critical condition. WHYLIE later succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead at 1:15am on 29th July 2014.One man has been detained as investigations continue.

MURDER

Reference the murder that occurred on Mopan Street on 26th July 2014; Alida ASCENCIO succumbed to her injuries at 12:15pm, on 29th July 2014.

PLACENCIA VILLAGE

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On 29th July 2014 at 2:30pm, police saw Mark Anthony ROWLEY, 41 year old Belizean Labourer of Placencia Village, pushing a blue female beach cruiser bicycle with his right hand holding a black plastic in his left hand. Upon seeing the police, he threw the plastic bag across a nearby fence. He was then escorted to the area where the bag was retrieved. The bag was found to contain (4) small pieces suspected to be crack cocaine, amounting to 7grams. Also the bag contained a medium size transparent plastic bag containing 62.9 grams of Cannabis. ROWLEY was arrested and charged for 2 counts of Drug Trafficking.
