BELIZE CITY

KEPT PROHIBITED FIREARM AND AMMUNITION WITH OUT A GUN LICENSE

On the 28th of January 2018 at 8:20pm, Police were on mobile patrol in the Martins Area where they conducted a search on a 17 year-old male person that resulted in the discovery a pen gun which contained (1).22 round. The minor was arrested and charged in the presence of his mother for the offence of Kept Prohibited Firearm and Ammunition without a gun license.

ROBBERY

Xin Hui ZHANG, 53 year-old Business Owner of a Belize City address, reported that on the 28th of January 2018 at 9:30pm, whist at his restaurant, New Fortune Restaurant located on West Collet Canal, two male persons entered the restaurant one of whom was armed with a firearm held him up and demanded money as a result the culprits stole: (1) Grey  I Phone 6, (1) Silver I Phone 6, (1) whiten phone and $800.00 in cash.

ATTEMPTED MURDER

On the 28th of January 2018 at 8:20pm, Police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they saw Edgar FLORES, 33 year-old Belizean unemployed of a Belize City address, suffering from (1) apparent gunshot wound to the right side of the face (below the nose area). Initial investigation revealed that on the 28th of January 2018 at 8:15pm, FLORES was socializing on Jones Street when a male person stopped in front of the yard and fired shots at the crowd that caused the injury to FLORES. He is listed as in a critical condition. Police investigations continue.

DANGRIGA TOWN

KEPT FIREARM AND AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On the 28th of January 2018 at 1:45am, Police was on mobile patrol on Commerce Street, Dangriga, and conducted a search on Charles NOLBERTO Jr., 23 year old Belizean Security Officer of a Belize City address, that resulted in the discovery of (1) 9mm Taurus brand pistol containing (1) 9mm Aguila brand ammunition and a separate 9mm magazine with (9) live rounds. NOLBERTOwas arrested and charged for the offence of Kept firearm and ammunition without a gun license.
