LADYVILLE

ROBBERY

On the 25th of January 2018, Freddy HERNANDEZ, a Belizean of Ladyville Village, reported that at about 8:30pm, whilst serving a male customer another male person entered the establishment wearing a dark blue long sleeve jacket, and remove what appeared to be a silver in color gun from the jacket. He pointed it at the complainant demanding money, as a result, HERNANDEZ handed over about $200bcy in different denomination. Police are investigating.

BELIZE CITY

MURDER

On the 24th of January 2018 at 1:15pm, acting upon information received Police visited the first floor of a three story building  on Plues Street; where they observed the lifeless body of a male person identified as, Darwin Dwayne Simon VELASQUEZ, 24 year old Belizean Fisherman of a Belize City address, with an apparent gunshot wound to the lower side of his back. Initial investigation revealed that at 1:10pm, whilst VELASQUEZ was walking on George Street, with a female companion, they were approached from behind by a male person who was armed with a firearm. A struggle ensued between VELASQUEZ and the male person, however, VELASQUEZ escaped and ran towards the direction of Plues Street, but he was followed by the male person who fired several shots at him causing him to collapse inside a residence on Plues Street. The body of Darwin Dwayne Simon VELASQUEZ was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body at Morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Police are investigating.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 25th of January 2018 at about 11:20 am, Police conducted a search at the residence of Cyril MARTINEZ that resulted in the discovery of 2.21grams of Crack Cocaine. As a result, Cyril MARTINEZ was arrested and charged for "Drug Trafficking."
