MURDER
 
On 2nd January 2018, at about 7:40pm, Officers responded to a report of a person being shot in Belama. Upon arrival on Maurice Bishop Street, Belama Phase Two, Police observed the motionless body of a male person on the stairs of a two story dwelling house. There were several apparent gunshot wounds to the body. Initial Investigation revealed that on the 2nd of January 2018 at 7:30pm, Jermain Ryan VELLOS, 37 year old Belizean Warehouse Machine Operator of Queens - New York, and Stephanie Nicole FOREMAN VELLOS, 29 year old Belizean Sales Clerk, had just arrived home when two male persons wearing masks and armed with what appeared to be hand guns emerge from the dark while they were walking up the stairs of the house. The gun men fired several shots at their direction, hitting Jermain several times to his body causing his fatal injuries whilst Stephanie received a gunshot injury to the right leg and a graze to the left hand. The body of Jermain VELLOS was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where the doctor pronounced him dead. Police are investigating.
