ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

KEPT FIREARMS WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On the 6th of August 2017 at 1:30pm, while police were on Dunn Street they saw two male persons riding into the cemetery on separate bicycles. Police then pursued them and apprehended one of the male persons. A search of the area where the suspects were led to the discovery of a Chrome colored .38 revolver. Brian Bainton ARMSTRONG, 30-year-old of West Canal, Belize City, was charged for the offence of “Kept Firearm without a gun license”. Police investigation continues.

BELIZE DISTRICT

MURDER

On the 9th of August 2017 at 3:30am, police visited a house on Mahogany Street, Belize City, where they saw Ruben Esquivel AGUILAR, 45-year-old Guatemalan, lying in the kitchen area with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigations revealed that at around 3:20am, AGUILAR’s sister, was awaken by a noise of someone inside the house then heard her brother shouting her name and shortly thereafter heard gunshots. She then called the police. The body of AGUILAR was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:39am. The body of AGUILAR now lies at the morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Police Investigation Continues.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 9th of August 2017 at 12:10am, police responded to a shooting incident and visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Michael ASPINAL, 34-year-old Laborer of Kraal Road, Belize City, with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigations revealed that around 12:05am, ASPINAL was riding his bicycle on Sarstoon Street when a culprit emerged from behind a house and fired several shots at him. Police investigation continues.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 8th of August 2017, Luis DOMINGUEZ, 34-year-old of M&Y Street, Belize City, reported that between 12:30am and 4:30am on the same date, his black and silver colored 2016 Meilun ML 250 CC motorcycle with license plate MC 4821 was stolen from in front of his residence. Police investigation Continues.

DANGRIGA TOWN

MURDER

On the 8th of August 2017 at 6:30am, police went to Davis Fall road, Alta Vista Village, where they saw the body of Cesar Augusto MONROY, 49-year-old Guatemalan Farmer of Alta Vista Village, Stann Creek, on the ground in a state of decomposition. He had what appeared to be a large chop wound behind the neck and a cut wound to the left hand. Investigation revealed that MONROY left home on the 6th of August 2017, sometime in the evening, and did not return home. On the 8th of August 2017, at 5:40am, a person was walking on Davis Fall road and saw what appeared to be blood stains on the ground and checked in the orange orchard where he found the body of MONROY. A postmortem examination was conducted on the body of MONROY that certified the cause of death to be Traumatic shock due to blunt sharp force trauma due to multiple chop wounds.
