ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

DRUG TRAFFICKING

At about 10:05am on the 1th of July 2017, a vehicular checkpoint was conducted at the Establo Roundabout at the northern entrance of Orange Walk Town where a gray Ford van with license plates BZ A 3996 was intercepted and a search conducted led to the discovery of (2) parcels of cannabis which amounted to (10) Kilograms and (1) kilograms respectively. As a result, the driver, Jose GARCIA, 31-year-old Driver for BPMS, and Brian HERNANDEZ, 30-year-old, both of Halls Layout Corozal Town, were detained pending charges.
