THEFT OF MOTOR CYCLE
Carlisle BOL, 24-year-old Police Officer of a Belize City address, reported that sometime between 5:30am and 8:00pm on the 2nd of July 2017, someone stole his Black 2015 Lifan brand 50cc Scooter which was parked inside his yard. Police are investigating.
ROBBERY
Marvin GARCIA, 48-year-old Sales Clerk of Flamingo Avenue, San Ignacio Town, reported that on the 2nd of July 2017 at 2:45am, he was coming out from the Casino heading towards his vehicle which was parked in front of the San Ignacio Hotel when he was approached by four (4) male persons. One of the male persons reportedly pushed him into a drain causing him to injure his head while another stole his white Samsung Note 5 cell phone and assorted jewelry. Police are investigating the matter.
ORANGE WALK DISTRICT
ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
On the 2nd of July 2017 at about 1:44am, police responded to a Road Traffic Accident at San Jose Village, where in front of Shell Gas Station, between miles 62 and 63 on the Philip Goldson highway, they saw one, Estevan TECK, lying on the side of the road. He was admitted to the Northern Regional Hospital as he had fractures on both hands and feet. Investigations revealed that around 1:44am on the 2nd of July 2017, a woman was in her house when she heard a loud noise on the road and upon making checks, she saw TECK lying on the road suffering from injuries and called for police assistance. TECK was later transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where his condition was described as stable, but critical. Police are investigating.
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On the 2nd of July 2017 at 6:30pm, Police Quick Response Team (QRT) and Special Branch Personnel intercepted and searched a gold colored Equinox bearing license plate C06856 which was travelling from Bypass Road, Orange Walk District, towards Belize City. Inside the vehicle were 19-year-old Joshua HALL, 38-year-old George FRANZUA, 21-year-old Randolph CRAWFORD and 20-year-old Jose WORRELL, all of Corozal Town. Police made checks at the rear seat of the vehicle which led to the discovery of (3) parcels of cannabis wrapped in transparent plastic which amounted to a total of 27.94kg. Police have arrested and charged all men for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
