BELIZE DISTRICT

MURDER

On the 24th of May 2017 at about 7:45pm, police visited an area on the Central American Boulevard, Belize City, where they saw the body of Andrew Ian BENNETT, 42-year-old of #26 Central American Boulevard, with several gunshot wounds to the head and body. Investigation revealed that on the said date at around 7:43pm, BENNETT was at the bus shed when a male person approached him and fired several shots at him. The body of Andrew Ian BENNETT now lies at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue, awaiting post mortem examination. Police are investigating.
 
SAN IGNACIO TOWN

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Kenneth BRAUN, 18-year-old Truck Driver of Spanish Lookout Village, reported that, on the 9th of May 2017 at 5:00am, he left home leaving his black Meilun motorcycle under a shed. Upon his return home on the 20th of May 2017 at about 1:00pm, he discovered that the motorcycle was missing. Police investigations continue.
 
SUDDEN DEATH

On the 24th of May 2017 at 3:00pm, police visited the San Ignacio Hospital where the body of Raquel CHAN, 60-year-old Domestic of Trench Town area, San Ignacio Town, was seen. Investigation revealed that CHAN was on her way to pick up her son from Arms of Love Primary School in the Kontiki area, San Ignacio, when she was attacked by a swarm of bees. The body is presently at the morgue awaiting a post mortem examination.
