ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

DRUG TRAFFICKING

At 10:30am on 18th May 2017, police visited the Orange Walk Market Plaza where they boarded a Tillett’s bus and conducted a search on Emmanuel CHAN, 36-year-old Cane Cutter of August Pine Ridge Village, Orange Walk District, which led to the discovery of a transparent plastic bag containing 28.3 grams of crack-cocaine. CHAN have since been arrested and charged with the offence of Drug Trafficking.

BELIZE CITY

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Keira MUNNINGS, 26yrs, reported that, at 8:20am on 18th May 2017, she arrived at the ITVET compound and parked her black Meliun brand 100cc motor cycle - with license plate-MC-4532 - in front of the building and when she made checks at 10:15am, the motor cycle was nowhere to be found. The security cameras were viewed which revealed that at 8:53am, a tall dark complexion male person rode off on the motor cycle onto Freetown Road. Police investigations continue.
 
CAYO DISTRICT

MISSING PERSON

Bertha VASQUEZ, 50-year-old Domestic of Bullet Tree Village, reported that at 8:20pm on 16th May 2017, she was at home with her four children when she had an argument with one of her 17-year-old daughter, Amelia VASQUEZ, who is a special need child. Amelia then walked out of the house to an unknown destination and has not been seen since. Police investigations continue. 

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED DRUGS WITH INTENT TO SUPPLY

At 9:00pm on 18th May 2017, while on patrol on Santa Maria Street, Belmopan, police searched a 2009 Ford Focus car with dealers’ plate being driven by Brandon Derrick SEARS, 21-year-old Car Dealer of Jimmy Dyer Street, Belize City. The search led to the discovery of 484 grams cannabis. SEARS have since been arrested and charged with the offence of Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another.
