COROZAL DISTRICT

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 5th of May 2017, Rodolfo NARVAEZ, 40-year-old of Halls Layout Corozal Town, reported that on the 4th of May 2017 his Dodge Caravan 2000 with license plate CZL 01394 which was parked in front of a popular bar on 1st Avenue was broken into. The right passenger window was shattered and stolen from inside were an assortment of electronic equipment and other miscellaneous items. Police are investigating.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 7th of May 2017, a prison officer reported that, at 2:50pm, he was working at the remand section at the Kolbe Foundation located on the Hattieville/ Boom road when he saw a remanded inmate, Mark WAIGHT, coming towards the check point area where he observed a black tennis that he was carrying inside a plastic bag which appeared to be swollen. He then pulled out the soles of the tennis and cut the left foot open. He then found 274 grams of cannabis inside. Mark WAIGHT is detained pending charges.
                                      
BELIZE CITY

FOUND PROPERTY 

On the 6th of May 2017 at 4:00pm, police conducted a search on an empty lot on North Creek Street where they discovered one black plastic bag containing 4 boxes of ammunition: (26) 9mm rounds, (43) .38 special rounds and (9) 30-30 rounds, a total of 78 live rounds. No one was in the area and the ammunition were deposited as “Found Property”.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 7th of May 2017 at about 6:00pm, police conducted a search on an abandon lot on Lindo's Alley, Belize City which resulted in the discovery of 12 black plastic bags containing 3,280 grams of cannabis which was deposited as “Found Property”.
