BELIZE CITY

ROBBERY

Thomas GOMEZ, 49-year-old Businessman and Resident of # 21 Faber’s Road Extension, Belize City, reported that on the 27th day of April 2017 at about 12:30pm, he was at his business place, JR Lumber Yard, located at the same address, along with his delivery man and his wife when two male persons entered his business establishment. One of the male persons was brandishing a chrome .38 revolver. The male persons relieved the complainant of his wallet containing his identification documents and about $1,000.00 in cash. Both persons then ran off making good their escape. Police investigation continues.
 
ROBBERY

A clerk at Money Gram located at the Corner of Cemetery Road and West Collet Canal, Belize City, reported that, on the 27th of April 2017 at about 2:36pm, she was performing her normal duties when a male person entered the Go Wireless Direct Shop, approached her and grabbed her by the neck while placing a knife to her throat. He then took her inside the office and demanded money. Fearing for her life, she opened the metal safe box and gave him $12, 200.00 which were in different denominations. The male person then made good his escape. Police are investigating.
