BELIZE CITY

MURDER

On the 4th of March 2017 at 11:55pm, police responded to a shooting incident and proceeded to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Marvin FLOWERS, 42-year-old Construction Worker of Belize City, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigation revealed that on the said date sometime around 11:50pm, FLOWERS was walking on Jasmine Street when an unknown male person came from behind and fired several shots at him causing his injuries. The culprit then made good his escape. Marvin FLOWERS died at 1:53am, on the 5th of March 2017, while undergoing treatment. Police are investigating.
 
HATTIEVILLE VILLAGE
 
DOUBLE MURDER

On the 4th of March 2017 at about 2:00pm, police received information of two dead bodies on a feeder road between miles 12 and 13 on the George Price Highway and visited the location where they saw Albert WADE, 27-year-old Deliveryman of Crooked Tree Village, and Godwin PANTING, 24-year-old Deliveryman of Belize City, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The bodies of both Albert WADE Jr. and Godwin PANTING were transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead at 4:50pm. Police investigations continue.
 
CAYE CAULKER VILLAGE

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 6th of March 2017 at 12:23am, Raul McFARLANE, 34-year-old of Caye Caulker Village, reported to police that upon reaching near Island Oasis located on Xocol Street, Caye Caulker Village, with his friends, they were attacked by a male person with a rag over his face who fired several shots towards them. As a result, McFARLANE received gunshot injuries to his left upper back and left leg. Akeem GARCIA, 29-year-old also of Caye Caulker Village, received gunshot injuries to his left leg and left lower back.  Camille MUNNINGS, 29-year-old common-law wife of Akeem GARCIA, received a gunshot injury to her left upper shoulder. Raul McFARLANE and Akeem GARCIA were transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a stable condition and Camille MUNNINGS was transported to the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition. Police are investigating.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

MISSING PERSON/MURDER

On the 3rd of March 2017 of about 8:30am, Everlyn Paula WOODYE, 44-year-old of Teakettle Village, reported that, on the 28th of February 2017 at about 9:30am, her son Ernesto WILTSHIRE, 17-year-old Construction Worker of same address, went swimming with two male friends in the Belize River and did not return home. On the 3rd of March 2017 at about 1:10pm, acting upon information received of a body found, police visited an area located about a mile behind Teakettle Village through Arizona Road where they saw the body of WILTSHIRE in an advanced state of decomposition with a large chop wound behind the head. Investigation revealed that on the 3rd of March 2017 at about 1:00pm, his body was discovered by a group searching for him. A postmortem was conducted on the body that certified the cause of death as “Craneoucednalic traumatic injuries” due to multiple chop wounds to the head. Police have arrested and charged Shemar SANTOS, 18-year-old of Teakettle Village, Cayo District, for the crime of Murder.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 5th of March 2017 at about 10:30am, police conducted searches in an abandoned lot in Cotton Tree Village, which led to the discovery of a red and black backpack under a culvert containing 8 parcels of cannabis amounting to 857 grams. It was labelled as “Found Property”.
 
SAN IGNACIO TOWN

ARREST

Reference the Shooting Incident reported on the 5th of November 2016, police have arrested and charged Charles LESLIE Jr., 28-year-old Businessman of Unitedville Village, for the crimes of "Attempt Murder" "Grievous Harm" and "Used of Deadly means of Harm".

BENQUE VIEJO TOWN

STABBING INCIDENT 

On the 4th of March 2017 at 10:40pm, police responded to a stabbing incident in Calla Creek Village and visited the residence of 66-year-old Melva VASQUEZ where they saw a 17-year-old minor, of Calla Creek Village, suffering from a stab wound to the upper right shoulder and lower right abdomen. He was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital in a critical condition. Police investigations continue.
