COROZAL DISTRICT

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Joel RUIZ, 34 year old Belizean Cane Farmer of Patchakan Village, Corozal District, reported that  on 28th October 2014 at around 6:00am, he parked his black and grey GMC Sonoma 1995 pickup truck, L/P: Czl-A-4845 VIN: 1GTCS1945S8503532 in a cane field off the Ramonal/Estero Road, Corozal District. He then went to spray his cane field and on his return at about 9:00am his vehicle was nowhere to be found. Police are investigating.

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

Reference the Shooting Incident Report made on 17th September 2014; on 27th October 2014, Leon William SAVERY succumbed to his injuries. On 28th October 2014, Dr. Mario ESTRADABRAN conducted a postmortem examination and certified the cause of death to be Multiple Organ Failure Sepsis, due to Bilateral Pneumonia, due to Multiple Abdominal injuries as a consequence of gunshot wounds.

KEPT PROHIBITED FIREARM

On 27th October 2014 at about 10:00am, Police Officers on mobile patrol intercepted Jonathan GIDEON, 19yrs, on East Collet Canal and conducted a search on him. The search resulted in the discovery of a 20 gauge sawed off shotgun and (4) Sellier & Bellot brand 20 gauge cartridges. Jonathan GIDEON have since been arrested and charged for the offence of Kept Prohibited Firearm and Kept Ammunition without a Gun License.
                                                     
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Marlon SAMUELS, 35 year old of Western Paradise Village, reported that at 8:10pm on 25th October 2014, he was standing at the front of  Madda Fish Restaurant and Bar when he saw Scott GARBUTT pulled out a chrome .38 revolver from the right front waist of his pants. GARBUTT then pointed it towards him. Police are investigating.
