DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 21st October 2014 at 7:20am, while on mobile patrol in the Kraal Road Area, Belize City, police observed a male person standing behind a zinc fence with a bulky black plastic bag in his left hand. Upon seeing the police, the male person threw the bag over the fence. The male person was detained and taken to the area where he threw the bag. The bag was retrieved and found to contain a green leafy vegetable substance suspected to be cannabis. The male person was informed of the offence committed and was placed under arrest. His was identified as Troy GRIFFITH, 27 year old Belizean Construction Worker of Belize City. The suspected cannabis was weighed and amounted to 62.3 grams. GRIFFITH was detained pending charge of Drug Trafficking.
MISSING PERSONS
Kindly be on the lookout for Ashanti DIAMOND, 20 year old Belizean Babysitter of Taylor’s Alley, Belize City. Ashanti was reported missing on 21st October 2014. She was last seen on Duck Lane at around 1:00pm and then on Albert Street at around 3:00pm. Ashanti DIAMOND is of Creole descent, medium built, dark complexion. She is of about 5 feet 3 inches in height; has black short hair, a scar on her back, and a tattoo on her left shoulder of a vine. She was last seen wearing a sleeveless yellow blouse, blue short pants and a pair of pink Old Navy slippers. If seen, kindly contact 0800-2929-688 or the nearest Police Station.
Kindly be on the lookout for KENESHA OSHON, 16 year old Belizean Student of Mahogany Street, Belize City, was reported as runaway on 17th October 2014 by her mother. She was last seen on 16th October 2014 at about 2:00am, at her house and then on Mahogany Street by the Complex Building. Kenesha OSHON is of about 4 feet 8 inches in height, slim built, dark skin complexion. She has black short hair, dark brown eyes, a snub nose and some scars on her leg. Kenesha was last seen wearing a short yellow dress, a pair of pink slippers and was carrying with her a grey schoolbag. If seen please contact 0800-2929-688 or the nearest Police Station.

MISSING PERSON
Ponseda HILL, of 3rd Street South Corozal Town, visited the Corozal Police Station and reported that, on 20th October 2014 at 2:00pm, her daughter, Jeannie ALVAREZ, 13 year old Belizean Student, left her house en route to her father’s house located on 5th Avenue, Corozal Town. Up to the time of making this report, Jeannie has not returned home. Jeannie ALVAREZ is of brown complexion, has long black hair, black eyes, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue 3/4 jeans pants and a pair of black slippers. Police are investigating
BENQUE VIEJO TOWN
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 21st October 2014 at 6:30am, while on duty at the Belize/Guatemala Border in Benque Viejo Town, Police saw a Hispanic male person who at the time was coming from Guatemala into Belize. Police observed that both of his pants foot area was bulky. A search conducted on the person resulted in the discovery of two black plastic bags wrapped with transparent tape on both legs. The bags were found to contain green leafy substances suspected to be cannabis. Further searches conducted on him revealed an additional black plastic bag containing suspected cannabis which was strapped with transparent tape to his stomach area. He was informed of the offence committed, placed under arrest & escorted to the Benque Viejo Police Station along with the drugs. At the station, the male person was identified as Marvin Estuardo Godoy LINARES, 20 year old Guatemalan Laborer of Barrio la Ceibita, Melchor, Guatemala. All (3) Parcels were weighed and amounted to 1,904 Grams. LINARES was detained pending charges of Drug Trafficking.
DRUGS FOUND
On 21st October 2014 at 11:45am, Benque Viejo Police were on mobile patrol on the Calla Creek Road, Cayo District, when they saw a dark complexion male person carrying a bag. Upon seeing the police vehicle, the male person dropped the bag and made good his escape by running in the nearby bushes. The bag was retrieved and opened. It was found to contain green leafy substances, suspected to be cannabis. The bag was taken to the Benque Police Station where it was weighed and found to amount to 3,583.3grams. Police are looking for a man from San Ignacio who they believe is the person who escaped.

SUDDEN DEATH
On 21st October 2014 at 2:45pm, police visited the Independence Polyclinic where they saw the body of Kirk BUSH, 42 year old Belizean Fisherman of Independence Village. Initial investigations revealed that, at about 1:38pm on 21st October 2014, Kirk BUSH was seen standing at the water side area of Independence Village when he suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing. There were no signs of foul play. He was pronounced dead at 3:30pm. The body was transported to the Southern Regional Morgue where it now lies awaiting a postmortem examination.
