COROZAL DISTRICT

SUDDEN DEATH

Manuel Cesar Santiago HERNANDEZ, 31 year old of Cristo Rey Village, Corozal District, visited the Corozal Police Station and reported that on 30th September 2014 about 8:30am, he spoke with his 63-year-old mother, Anita CHE, where she informed him that she will be going to the Corozal Community Hospital and then to Belmopan City to visit a family member. He then left home and on his return on 2nd October 2014, he noticed that his mom was not at home. He made checks at the hospital and relatives, but she could not be located. At about 2:40pm, on 8th October 2014, police visited a canefield located in the vicinity of the Intelco tower where at about 200 yards off the Cristo Rey/Yo Chen Road, the body of Anita CHE was found lying face down in an advance state of decomposition. A postmortem examination was conducted on site which certified the cause of death as "Sudden Death in Structurally Pathologic Heart". No foul play suspected as investigations continue.
 
BURGLARY

The Principal of Ranchito Government School reported that between the hours of 5:30pm on 7th October 2014 and 6:30am on 8th October 2014, the principal office was burglarized and stolen was $1,200.00 in cash. Police investigations continue.
