SHOOTING INCIDENT
On 6th October 2014 at 10:11pm, police visited the corner of Allenby and Amara Street where they met Jermaine OTTLEY, 36 year old of Belize City, who reported that upon exiting his car in front of his house, he was ambushed by two persons who attacked him. They robbed him of $200.00 and his black cell phone. The two male persons made good their escape and fired 2 shots towards OTTLEY’s house. No one was injured and no expended shell was found. Police investigations continue.
SAN PEDRO TOWN
MISSING PERSON
Shelmadine SWASEY, 44 year old of a #2 Myvette Street, Belize City address, visited the San Pedro Police Station and reported that she last saw her 20-year-old son, Keron Kishane SWASEY, on April 24th 2014 at 2:00pm. Her son was dressed in a brown and white striped Polo Shirt, along with a ¾ inch Dickies Pants. He was barefooted. He went to her house and told her that at 5:00pm, he was going to travel along with some friends to work in San Pedro. She stated that she received a call from her son informing her that he had arrived in San Pedro and that he was ok. She last received a call from her son in May, at which time he stated that he would be on the island for another three (3) months. From that last phone call she has not been contacted by her son. Keron Kishane SWASEY is of dark complexion; stands about 5 feet 2 inches in height; has low black hair, dark brown eyes, and a mole on the side of the face. Keron SWASEY has a distinctive scar on the left side of his head that begins from the front of the head, at the hairline, and runs about 6 inch backward to the center of the head. If he is seen, please contact the nearest police station or call 911.
DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 7th October 2014 at 8:30am, a team of San Pedro Police, QRT, CIB and Special Branch personnel conducted a searched at an apartment room located at # 14 Sandpiper Street in the San Juan Area, San Pedro Town. Present at the time were Rene Gabriel PEREZ, 55 year old Belizean Fisherman, and Nairo PEREZ, 18 year old Belizean Fisherman, both of the same address. A search was conducted inside the room which led to the discovery of a pink plastic container containing green leafy vegetable substance wrapped in transparent plastic. The suspected Cannabis all amounted to a total of 123.0grams. Also found inside the plastic container was ($656.00) in different denominations believed to be proceeds from drug sale. Both male persons were arrested and charged for Drug Trafficking.
