BELIZE DISTRICT

RAPE /INCEST 

On 21st September 2014 at about 7:10pm, a 12-year-old female student accompanied by her mother reported that on 20th September 2014, sometime after 6:00pm, her father took her to his house and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. A medical examination was conducted and the Doctor certified that the female child was Carnally Known. As a result, police have arrested and charged her father for the crime of Rape/Incest. 

ROBBERY

On 25th September 2014 at about 8:45am, a 29-year-old Fruit Vendor reported that she was at her fruit stall at the supermarket corner West Collet Canal and Hicattee Street, Belize City, selling, when she was approached by a man who pointed a hand gun in her face. He then robbed her of her apron containing $230.00 cash and a black and yellow Go brand cell phone. He then jumped on a bicycle and made good his escape. Police are looking for this person as police investigation continues. 

CAYO DISTRICT

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On 25th September 2014 at 1:45 pm, police responded to a shooting incident in the Caracol Area where they saw Special Constable (SC) Danny CONORQUIE, 20 year old attached to the Tourism Police Unit and posted at Caracol Mayan site, lying apparently dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Another Police Constable in the area reported that, at 11:56am, he heard what appeared to be gunshots and upon investigating, he saw about five male persons standing around CONORQUIE. They then turned and fired several shots at him, but he escaped hurt. The men then fled the scene. CONORQUIE was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police investigation continues. 

BELMOPAN CITY 

DRUG TRAFFICKING  

On 25th September 2014 at about 4:15pm, police conducted a search at the residence of Ealsine GENTLE situated in Roaring Creek Village. Present at the time of the search were Ealsine GENTLE and Stephanie CRUZ. The search led to the discovery of a transparent bag containing 60.5grams of suspected cannabis.  As a result, police have arrested and charged 35-year-old Ealsine GENTLE and 38-year-old Stephanie CRUZ; both of Roaring Creek Village, jointly for the offence of Drug Trafficking.

FOUND PROPERTY 

On 25th September 2014 at about 4:30pm, police conducted a search in an empty lot in Roaring Creek Village which led to the discovery of three separate plastic bags containing 309 grams of suspected cannabis. No one was in the area. As a result, the items were labeled and deposited as Found Property.
