COROZAL DISTRICT

FOUND PROPERTY

On 30th July 2014 at 4:00pm, acting on information received, police conducted a search in an over grown lot in San Andres Village, near the Mary Hill R.C Primary School, which led to the discovery of two (2) parcels of suspected cannabis wrapped in transparent plastic bags. The drug amounted to 1,610grams.  No one was in the area at the time of the search. As a result, the item was labeled and deposited as Found Property.

BELIZE DISTRICT 

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On 30th July 2014, between the hours of 2:30pm and 3:30pm, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Stephen MICHAELS, 28 year old Belizean Teacher of Belize City, where the doctor certified the cause of death to be acute lungs failure, massive pulmonary edema.

SAN IGNACIO TOWN

KEPT FIREARM & AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On 30th July 2014 at 2:30pm, acting on information received, police conducted a search at the residence of Rojelio HERNANDEZ, 24 year old Belizean Farm Caretaker of Upper Barton Creek.  The search led to the discovery of (1) Black single action 16 gauge shotgun, (2) blue Sellier and Bellot 16 gauge cartridges and (1) yellow 20 gauge Aguila brand cartridge. Police have since detained Rojelio HERNANDEZ pending charges of Kept Firearm and Ammunition without a Gun License.

STANN CREEK DISTRICT

BURGLARY

Ejaz AHMAD, 51 year old Naturalized Belizean of Dangriga Town, reported that between the hours of 8:00pm on 28th July 2014 and 1:45am on 29th July 2014, person(s) broke into his store room at home. Stolen from inside the store room was an assortment of clothing and electronic items. Police investigation into this matter continues.
