On Monday, 10th April 2017 at 10:41pm, police responded to a report of a fire at Ladyville R.C School where they observe the lower flat of a two story building engulfed in flames. Fire personnel managed to extinguish the flames. The value of items and damages are unknown at this time. The principal of Ladyville R.C School reported that, at approximately 4:00pm, she locked up her office and all appeared to be in order and about 10:50pm, she received a call from police that the school building was on fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Police are investigating.
DANGRIGA TOWN
BURGLARY
The front line associate at the Western Union Office at # 15 St. Vincent Street, Dangriga, reported that between the hours of 6:00pm on 9th April 2017 and 8:00am on 10th April 2017, the Western Union office was broken into. Stolen from inside were a Chinese brand metal safe containing $6,900.00 in cash and (9) blank cheques with serial numbers 1276 to 1284 in the name of ZITRO international. Police are investigating.
