KEPT AMMUNITION WITHOUT GUN LICENCE
On the 23rd of August 2017 at about 1:00am, police were patrolling on San Andres Road, Corozal Town, when they saw a male and a female riding on a motorcycle. A search was conducted where they found 4 rounds of 9mm ammunition in the immediate area. Both persons of Ranchito Village were detained, pending charges.

FOUND PROPERTY
On the 23rd of August 2017 at about 7:30pm, police searched an abandoned building on Rio Grande Street which resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 1,570 grams of cannabis which was labeled and deposited as Found Property.

MURDER
On the 23rd of August 2017, acting upon information received at around 1:30pm, police visited a dump site on a dirt road located between miles 3 and 4 where at about 330 feet off the George Price Highway they saw the body of Linton Galenorman WILSHIRE, 25-year-old of Neal’s Pen Road Extension, Belize City. The body was seen with a large wound to the neck and a cut wound to the left side of his temple. Investigation revealed that on the 23rd of August 2017 at about 1:18pm, a man was riding his bicycle on the dirt road to the dump site when he came across the body. The body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. On the said date, a post mortem examination was conducted which certified the cause of death to be external exsanguination due to multiple cut wounds to the neck and blunt force trauma to the head. Police are investigating.
